Howdy Seedtime Friends,
There is no attachment below to click on. We simply wanted to let everyone know Frantz and his family safely arrived home after hours of dangerous travel on gang controlled roads.
Thank you for your prayers.
Frantz said daughter Jade, the 3 year old, is doing fine. He and his wife were definitely ready for some rest. Their daughter Gaelle, who stayed behind with grandma, was crying with happiness to see them return.
The journey on the bus from the capitol city to their home normally takes about 8 hours with one stop for about 30 minutes in the middle to get food. That changed… as various gangs routinely stopped the bus to get their money, the journey became a 25 hour trip with no stops for food and only a few 5-10 minute stops along the highway for bathroom breaks in places where there are no bathrooms. No options, just go get your business done and get back to the bus.
It sounds harsher to us American than it does to Haitians as this is much closer to normal for Haitians traveling distances, nevertheless, it is grueling. Frantz’ family will need rest time for certain.
Jade is medically improving from her kidney disease but will require testing in their local clinic and that should be much easier. In the last 2 weeks they created a bill of about $1150. US dollars for all their medical care and food, etc while in the capitol city. We are grateful it is this small of an amount. It definitely is not small for Frantz. Haitians, including Frantz, have no insurance and his savings is a fraction of this amount.
Seedtime has the ability to pay for this, but even for us it is a strain. We are a very small ministry running quite efficiently on small donations. If you would like to donate to help us offset this cost we would appreciate it. You may designate it for Frantz’ medical or leave it undesignated. It will achieve the same thing, paying for Frantz’ family care, either way.
We are grateful the travel was completed with everyone arriving safe.
It was good that doctors were able to address Jade’s swelling, getting her back to normal, plus helping Frantz and Elisiane learn how to help Jade with diet and meds.
Frantz has stayed confident in God and after some rest we are certain he will jump back into the discipleship ministry that he performs so well.
We thank God for his faithfulness and mercy. He brought everyone home safely.
We are grateful for the many prayers Seedtime Friends provided.
If you have questions, please contact us by email, text or phone.
Blessings!!
